Walloon's Brick-and-Mortar Restaurant in Peabody Has Closed; Food Trucks Remain in Operation

A pair of Boston-area food trucks that added a brick-and-mortar eatery last year has closed its restaurant, though the trucks remain open for business.

According to a note sent from @CappyinBoston, Walloon's on Route 1 in Peabody has shuttered, with a tweet from the place confirming this, saying that "the Peabody location is no longer open. Please make sure to follow here to try to catch our 2 food trucks!" (It looks like a deli and caterer is now open within the former Walloon's space, though little other information has been given.) The dining spot, which opened in November of 2015, had taken over the space where The Nest had briefly been.

Walloon's is known for its fried chicken sandwiches along with its handcut fries, and it also offers tenders, chicken and rice bowls, hot dogs, biscuits, onion rings, and more.

The address for the now-closed restaurant from Walloon's was 108 Newbury Street (Route 1) Peabody, MA, 01960. The website for the trucks can be found at http://www.eatwalloons.com/
