Palmers Restaurant in Marblehead Has Closed; Wick's to Replace It

A pair of upscale American restaurants north of Boston is back down to just one, and it looks like a new dining spot will be moving into the space that it has vacated.

According to one of our readers, Palmers Restaurant in Marblehead is no long in business, with another source saying that a new family-friendly eatery called Wick's is taking over the space at Warwick Place on Pleasant Street. One of our sources says that Wick's will be featuring brick-oven pizza, though this has not been confirmed as of yet, while the Warwick Place website simply says that the new restaurant is "coming soon."

A check on Palmers Restaurant & Tavern in Andover--which had originally been located in Swampscott before moving to its current home in 1995--indicates that it remains in operation. (The Marblehead location of Palmers opened its doors in 2013.)

The address for the now-closed Palmers Restaurant in Marblehead (and the upcoming Wick's) is 123 Pleasant Street, Marblehead, MA, 01945.
