Brass Cat Cafe May Be Opening in Jamaica Plain

The people behind three Jamaica Plain restaurants may be opening a fourth dining spot in the neighborhood.

According to a press release, David Doyle, Maricely Perez-Alers, and Keith Harmon (Centre Street Cafe, Tres Gatos, Casa Verde) are looking to open Brass Cat Cafe on Washington Street, with the exact address indicating that it would be located in the old Schell Printing Company building about midway between Forest Hills and Egleston Square. Very little information on the proposed spot has been given at this point in time; more should be learned about the place at a Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council meeting on Monday, January 23.

Centre Street Cafe, Tres Gatos, and Casa Verde are all located on Centre Street in JP.

The address for this proposed restaurant is: Brass Cat Cafe, 3399 Washington Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.

[January 16 update: The Tables section of The Boston Globe states that Brass Cat Cafe will focus on foods from the Southeastern region of the United States (including Louisiana), and that it probably won't be opening for a year or so.]
