Owner of Molly Moo's Is Opening Molly's Farmhouse Coffee in South Boston

A new cafe is on its way to South Boston, and the person behind it is the owner of another spot on the other side of Southie.

According to a licensing board page within the City of Boston website, Molly's Farmhouse Coffee is looking to open on Preble Street in Andrew Square, with the listing indicating that it would be a small cafe with no kitchen. The post also mentions that the manager will be Mohamed Nahas, who runs Molly Moo's Ice Cream & Cafe at the corner of E 2nd Street and Summer Street between E Broadway and the Reserve Channel. Little else is known about Molly's Farmhouse Coffee at this point in time; as soon as we find out more, we will post an update here.

Molly Moo's had originally been in Quincy, but moved to its current home in the City Point section of Southie in 2015; it is known in part for its variety of ice cream flavors, while also offering soups, salads, sandwiches, cannoli, frappes, coffee, and more.

The address for Molly's Farmhouse Coffee is 16 Preble Street, South Boston, MA, 02127.

[February 24 update: A Facebook post indicates that Molly's Farmhouse Coffee is now open, with the Facebook page indicating that the new spot features breakfast items, baked goods, sandwiches, ice cream, and coffee.]
