Pedro's Tacos in Downtown Boston Is Closing

A small group of California-based Mexican restaurants whose slogan is the "world's best tacos since 1986" is closing its Boston location, though it plans to open a new place at an undisclosed spot north of the city.

Eater Boston is reporting (via a tweet from @DTownBostonBID) that Pedro's Tacos on Bromfield Street is shutting down on February 24, with a sign out front saying "We at Pedro's Tacos want to thank all of our loyal customers for an amazing and successful 5 years! Due to our growth we have become too big for this location....Please venture north to our new restaurant Bueno Malo coming this summer." Pedro's first opened in the fall of 2012 on the edge of Downtown Crossing, moving into the space where Tequila Mexican Grille had once been; other than Boston, the only locations of Pedro's are in San Clemente (2), Fallbrook, and Oceanside, CA.

The address for this soon-to-close Mexican restaurant in downtown Boston is: Pedro's Tacos, 55 Bromfield Street, Boston, MA, 02108. The website for Pedro's is at http://www.pedrostacos.com/

[February 21 update: A tweet from @DTownBostonBID mentions that today was the final Taco Tuesday for Pedro's Tacos in Boston, which closes its doors later this week.]
