According to a Facebook post from the business, the Quincy location of Wild Willy's Burgers will be shutting down at the end of business hours on Sunday, April 9, with the note saying that "We have realized over the past year that the time is right for us to move on....Your unwavering support through the highs and lows of our journey have been truly appreciated, but it's time for the Ol' Wild Willy's chuck wagon to go off into the sunset!!!!" It appears that the sole remaining Boston-area location of Wild Willy's in Watertown will remain in operation, but if we hear otherwise, we will post an update here. (Other locations can be found in Worcester, York, ME, and Rochester, NH.
Wild Willy's first opened in Quincy Point in the summer of 2011.
The address for this soon-to-close burger place in Quincy is: Wild Willy's Burgers, 588 Washington Street, Quincy, MA, 02169. The website for the chain is at http://www.wildwillysburgers.com/
[April 7 update: A page within the E.F. Smith & Son website indicates that an auction will take place at Wild Willy's in Quincy on Wednesday, April 12, with an array of new and used equipment available.]
