The Tables section of The Boston Globe states that Mooncusser Fish House is planning to open in the Back Bay in July, and as mentioned earlier, Ian Calhoun, Vincent Vela, and Carolyn Johnson of 80 Thoreau in Concord are behind the Stuart Street spot which is taking over the old Viga space. The Globe post says that the 60-seat restaurant will focus on local seafood and that both a regular menu and a five-course tasting menu will be available, while a casual drinking area called Moon Bar will be located below the dining spot starting later this summer.
80 Thoreau, which opened in the 2011, is known for its seasonal New American fare.
The address for this new restaurant in the Back Bay is: Mooncusser Fish House 304 Stuart Street, Boston, MA, 02116.
[July 19 update: According to a Craigslist job post from today, Mooncusser Fish House plans to open sometime this week.]
[July 21 update: Boston Magazine states that Mooncusser Fish House opens tomorrow (Saturday, July 22) at 5:00 PM.]
