Falafel Inc. to Open in Cambridge's Kendall Square

A few months ago, we reported that a cheap eats spot in Washington, DC, was looking to expand to the Boston area. Now we have learned a bit more about where it will be opening.

According to an article from Eater Boston, Falafel Inc. is planning to open an outlet somewhere in the Kendall Square section of Cambridge, with owner Ahmad Ashkar mentioning that the neighborhood is a good fit for the place because of the college students and millennials there, saying that "It's cheap, it's affordable....You can get a sandwich for $3 or a bowl for $4." As stated earlier, Falafel Inc., which focuses on Palestinian-style falafel sandwiches and bowls, is committed to helping refugees around the world, as $10 spent at the eatery feeds a refugee for a day via donations to the World Food Programme. (EB also says that Falafel Inc. hires refugees as well.)

As soon as we find out where exactly Falafel Inc. will be located in Kendall Square--and when it might open--we will post an update here.

The website for Falafel Inc. can be found at http://www.falafelinc.org/
