Pig 'N Whistle Diner in Brighton May Be Reopening

It looks like a long-closed Boston diner could be returning.

According to a tweet from @allbrivets, the Pig 'N Whistle on N Beacon Street is looking to reopen, with the post showing that it plans to be renovated with outdoor seating being added. A Facebook post from the Brighton Allston Improvement Association (BAIA) also shows this as well, though no other information has been given--including who might be behind the place. (As soon as we find out more, we will post an update here.)

According to an earlier article from Universal Hub, the Pig 'N Whistle apparently began as the Circle Diner in Watertown, eventually moving to the corner of N Beacon street and Market Street before shutting down in 2002.

The address for the Pig 'N Whistle is 226 N Beacon Street, Brighton, MA, 02135.

[September 8 update: Universal Hub states that Pig 'N Whistle may indeed be reopening, though Robert Zoffreo, who now owns the place, has not made a final decision whether to keep the name. (UH says that Zoffreo had trademarked another name--Dog Byte Cafe--back when he considered opening an Internet cafe within the space.)]
