Shaking Seafood Is Opening in Roslindale

It looks like another Cajun-style seafood restaurant is on its way to the local area.

Universal Hub is reporting (via Roslindale Village Main Street) that Shaking Seafood is planning to open on Poplar Street in Roslindale, taking over the space where Jerusalem Trading had been. The new 89-seat eatery will be a casual spot that offers seafood and sides that are thrown together with a spice blend and served in a bag, and it will also serve fried seafood dishes and other items as well. Roslindale Village Main Street says that Shaking Seafood--which is hoping to open in December or January--may have live music at some point, and it is also hoping to get a liquor license.

A few other Cajun seafood spots have opened in the Greater Boston area of late, including Shaking Crab in Newton and Quincy and Loui Loui in Stoneham and Allston. [Ed note -- Shaking Crab can now be found in downtown Boston and Cambridge's Porter Square as well.]

The address for this new restaurant in Roslindale is: Shaking Seafood, 19 Poplar Street, Roslindale, MA. 02131.

[December 27, 2018 update: A Facebook post from Roslindale Village Main Street states that Shaking Seafood soft-opens today at 3:00 PM. (Thanks to Universal Hub for bringing this to our attention.)]
