Alcove Is Opening at Lovejoy Wharf in Boston

A familiar name within the Boston restaurant scene is going to be opening his very own dining spot, and it will be on a section of the waterfront that has few dining options.

According to an article from Eater Boston, Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli is planning to open Alcove at Lovejoy Wharf, which is a residential building near where the North End and the West End meet. The post says that few details are known about the upcoming restaurant other than the possibility that it will open in the spring of 2018, so stay tuned for updates as they come in.

Schlesinger-Guidelli, who is the nephew of restaurateur Chris Schlesinger, has worked at such places as East Coast Grill in Cambridge and the Back Eddy in Westport (both of which were founded by his uncle) along with Eastern Standard and Island Creek Oyster Bar in Kenmore Square and Craigie on Main in Cambridge, and he was also a consultant for the opening of Pagu in Cambridge as well.

Lovejoy Wharf is located near the intersection of Causeway Street and N Washington Street, just east of TD Garden and North Station.

[June 28, 2018 update: According to a post within the jobs section of bostonchefs.com, Alcove will open this fall and it will be a "New England farm to table restaurant....with a highly curated wine list and dynamic cocktail program." The posting also says that the restaurant will be open for both lunch and dinner.]

[October 17, 2018 update: Eater Boston states that Alcove opens tonight, with only dinner service being offered for the time being--though lunch and brunch service will be added at some point.]
