A long-awaited Mexican restaurant and bar is finally opening its doors on the Boston waterfront, and a local group is behind the place.
According to a press release, Scorpion Bar opens at One Seaport Square in the city's Seaport District today, with its Facebook page saying that it offers "innovative and inspired Mexican cuisine with a twist," including such items as street tacos and burritos, a "Pupu Platter" with mini nachos and empanadas, and fried jalapeno ravioli, along with more than 100 different tequilas and drinks such as margaritas and scorpion bowls. This is the third location of Scorpion Bar (which is run by Big Night Entertainment Group), with others being at Patriot Place in Foxboro and Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut.
Yesterday, another BNEG spot called The Grand opened above Scorpion Bar, with that place being a luxury nightclub.
The address for the new Scorpion Bar on the waterfront is 58 Seaport Boulevard, Boston, MA, 02210. Its website can be found at http://scorpionboston.com/
