Trillium Beer Garden in Downtown Boston Has Closed for the Season

by Marc Hurwitz

A popular beer garden in the heart of Boston that had one of the top-rated brewers in the state behind it has closed for the season, and it is not yet known what its exact status is for next year.

According to a tweet from the place, Trillium Garden on the Rose Kennedy Greenway shut down yesterday, saying "Come bid us adieu and enjoy a final beer." Another tweet indicates that the beer garden actually closed for the seasona bit early due to the bad weather last night, and a post within that thread says "Stay Tuned!" as to whether they will be back at the space near the Rowes Wharf arch next season.

Trillium Garden first opened in early June, offering a variety of Trillium beers along with wines from Westport Rivers Vineyard. The current headquarters of the brewery are located on Congress Street in Fort Point, though the plans are for them to move to a new spot on Farnsworth Street, with that space including a brewery, taproom, full-service restaurant, patio, and rooftop terrace. (Another location can be found in Canton.)
