Another local brewery will be bringing a seasonal beer garden to downtown Boston.

According to a press release, Night Shift Brewing will be opening a pop-up beer garden in Dewey Square Park on the Rose Kennedy Greenway beginning on May 8 and running through October. The new outdoor spot from Night Shift joins another on the Greenway--Trillium's beer garden, which is a few blocks to the north and has opened for the season--and it joins brick-and-mortar locations of Night Shift in Everett (two, including one at Encore Boston Harbor), Boston's North Station area, and within Level 99 in Natick and Providence, along with other seasonal beer gardens on the Esplanade in Boston and Herter Park in Allston.

The website for Night Shift Brewing can be found at https://nightshiftbrewing.com/

Food Trucks Slated to Return to Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston on June 1

Food trucks are getting ready to return to downtown Boston for another season, though restrictions will be in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to an article from Boston Magazine, the food truck season kicks off on the Rose Kennedy Greenway June 1, with social distancing protocols put into place and, generally, fewer trucks set up at the sites. Expect to see such familiar names along the Greenway on weekdays this summer, including Bon Me, the Chicken & Rice Guys, the Chubby Chickpea, Daddy's Bonetown Burgers, Jamaica Mi Hungry, Posto, Zo, and others.

Boston Magazine notes that the food truck season was originally supposed to begin on April 1 this year.

Go to the link below to see the current schedule for the food trucks, though note that it could definitely change:

Trillium Beer Garden in Downtown Boston Has Closed for the Season

by Marc Hurwitz

A popular beer garden in the heart of Boston that had one of the top-rated brewers in the state behind it has closed for the season, and it is not yet known what its exact status is for next year.

According to a tweet from the place, Trillium Garden on the Rose Kennedy Greenway shut down yesterday, saying "Come bid us adieu and enjoy a final beer." Another tweet indicates that the beer garden actually closed for the seasona bit early due to the bad weather last night, and a post within that thread says "Stay Tuned!" as to whether they will be back at the space near the Rowes Wharf arch next season.

Trillium Garden first opened in early June, offering a variety of Trillium beers along with wines from Westport Rivers Vineyard. The current headquarters of the brewery are located on Congress Street in Fort Point, though the plans are for them to move to a new spot on Farnsworth Street, with that space including a brewery, taproom, full-service restaurant, patio, and rooftop terrace. (Another location can be found in Canton.)

Greenway Beer Garden Opening in Downtown Boston; Trillium Brewing Company Involved

A beer garden is coming to downtown Boston this summer, and one of the top-rated brewers in the state will be a part of it.

According to an Instagram post from the Rose Kennedy Greenway, the "Greenway Beer Garden" is on its way, with the note saying that "This summer we'll be partnering with @TrilliumBrewing.... We're still working out the details, but pretty soon you'll be able to enjoy your time in the park...while enjoying a world-class beer (or glass of wine!)"  A Boston Globe article mentions that the beer garden will be set up in the "geographic center" of the park, apparently near the Rowes Wharf arch, and in addition to six to eight Trillium beers offered on tap, there will also be wines from Westport Rivers Vineyard as well.

If all goes as planned, the new beer garden will debut in late June and will run until October.

[June 1 update: According to an article in Boston Magazine, the Greenway Beer Garden soft-opened yesterday and it looks like it will open to the public either today or tomorrow.]

[June 1 update #2: According to multiple sources, the beer garden is now open.]
