This summer, we reported that a highly-regarded pair of Mexican eateries in Jamaica Plain would be joined by a third location in Boston's Mission Hill neighborhood. Now we have learned that another outlet is on the way as well, with this one being in a relatively new mixed-used development not too far away from any of the locations.
According to a press release, Chilacates is planning to open at The Street, a mixed-used development along Route 9 in Chestnut Hill that is also home to Shake Shack, Ronsky's, Juice Press, Del Frisco's Grille, Legal Sea Foods, Davio's, The Cottage, and Bernard's. This will either be the third or fourth location of Chilacates to open, as it plans to debut in the spring of 2018 while the Mission Hill location had been looking to open four to six months after the start of its buildout, which appears to already started. [Ed note: A Roslindale location is in the works as well.]
Chilacates first opened its on Amory Street in JP in the summer of 2015, offering such items as burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and tortas; the second location opened earlier this year on Centre Street. Both restaurants have garnered attention in the press since opening, with Boston Magazine giving it a "best of" for Mexican food this year.

[February 8, 2019 update: A press release states that the Chestnut Hill location of Chilacates is now open.]
