It looks like a group of high-end steak and seafood restaurants may be expanding to the Back Bay of Boston, and it would be taking over the space where a location of a Chinese restaurant chain had been.
According to a source, Eddie V's is planning to open in the former P.F. Chang's space at the Prudential Center, with a hearing notice showing that a liquor license transfer from the latter to the former is expected to be looked at by the city of Boston on December 6. Eddie V's is a small chain of dining spots based in Austin, TX, that offers such items as oysters, caviar, Alaskan king crab legs, swordfish steak, lobster tails, jumbo shrimp, filet mignon, ribeye, and more.
The Prudential location of P.F. Chang's shut down in March of this year, with the chain's locations at Park Plaza, CambridgeSide in East Cambridge, Legacy Place in Dedham, and the Natick Mall in Natick remaining in operation.

[February 28, 2019 update: The locations page for the company states that Eddie V's plans to open its Prudential outlet this spring.]
