An Asian restaurant in Somerville that was rebranded a few years ago is moving to a nearby space--and it will be rebranded once again.
According to a Facebook post from Youji Iwakura of Snappy Ramen, tonight is the last night for the Davis Square restaurant, as it will be reopening on November 25 as Snappy Kitchen. We reported earlier that the dining spot was planning to move from its current home on Highland Avenue to a new--and larger--space on Elm Street where iYo Bistro had been, and it appears that this is still the case, though it wasn't known at the time that this would also be a rebranding.
Snappy Sushi first opened in Davis Square in 2009, changing its name to Snappy Ramen in 2013; the original Snappy Sushi first opened on Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay in 2008 and remains in operation.
The address for the now-closed Snappy Ramen is 420 Highland Avenue, while the new address for Snappy Kitchen will be 234 Elm Street.
[December 6 update: A new Facebook post indicates that Snappy Kitchen opens today on Elm Street.]
