Buttercup Is Opening in Natick

by Marc Hurwitz

The people behind a farm-to-table restaurant in the western suburbs of Boston will be opening a second farm-to-table spot a couple of towns away.

According to an article in the MetroWest Daily News, Dora Tavel-Sanchez Luz and Gabriel Sanchez Luz of The Farmhouse in Needham are planning to open Buttercup in Natick Center, with the husband-and-wife team bringing a similar concept to the West Central Street eatery, though with a different menu. The 100-seat restaurant will include a dining section, a bar, and an outdoor patio during the warmer months, and it will initially be open for dinner only. If all goes as planned, Buttercup will be opening sometime this spring.

The Farmhouse first opened in Needham in March of 2013, taking over the space on Great Plain Avenue where Midtown Smokehouse and Grill had been, and before that, Village Fish.

The address for Buttercup in Natick Center is 13 W Central Street, Natick, MA, 01760.

[June 5 update: A Facebook post from the place indicates that Buttercup is now open.]
