It looks like a local group of ice cream cafes will be opening a new shop in one of Boston's hottest neighborhoods.
According to a Twitter post from @chipsy231, J.P. Licks is planning to open in South Boston, moving into the space on W Broadway where the Cuttin Club beauty salon had been. The tweet indicates that the proposed location is expected to be talked about on February 13, with local residents invited to the meeting.
Currently, locations of J.P. Licks can be found at in Jamaica Plain, Assembly Row and Davis Square in Somerville, Boston's Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and Mission Hill, Cambridge's Harvard Square, Coolidge Corner in Brookline, West Roxbury, Newton Centre, Lynnfield, Wellesley, and Dedham.
