The Carriage House Pizzeria in Sharon Has Closed; Pizzigando to Close As Well

by Marc Hurwitz

A double dose of bad news has come for pizza lovers in a suburb south of Boston.

According to a source, The Carriage House Pizzeria in Sharon has closed, while Pizzigando, which is also in Sharon, is getting ready to shut down as well. Our source says that the owner of the former is planning to open a Mexican restaurant in the old Halfway Cafe space in Canton, while the owner of the latter is retiring. With the closing of these two places, it appears that this will leave Sharon with only one pizza spot in the entire town--Pizza Market on South Main Street.

Our source tells us that a couple of new dining spots are planning to move into the Pizzigando and Carriage House Pizzeria spaces; keep checking back for updates as we find out more.

The address for The Carriage House Pizzeria was 21 S Main Street, while the address for Pizzigando is 1 Pond Street.

[March 25 update: Wicked Local states that Pizzigando closes on March 31.]
