Goldilox Bagels to Open in Medford

by Marc Hurwitz

It looks like another option for bagels is on its way to the Boston area, with this one opening just north of the city.

According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Goldilox Bagels is planning to open in Medford, with the description on its website saying that it will be a "gourmet bagel shop serving Medford and its neighboring communities," offering "homemade bagels, spreads, sandwiches, and drinks – freshly prepared and available daily." Another Facebook post from a person who is apparently behind the business mentions that a lease has been signed for it, though little other information appears to be available, including where it will be located and when it might open. (As soon as we get more info, we will post an update here.)

The website for Goldilox can be found at

[July 13 update: A Twitter post from @mariathegreat1 mentions that the website for Goldilox shows its address as being 186 Winthrop Street, which is just south of the Mystic River and Mystic Valley Parkway near Moulton's seafood.]

[October 16 update: The Medford Transcript mentions that Goldilox Bagels hopes to open in late November or early December if all goes well, and that it will have seating for 10 to 13 people inside the place.]

[November 27 update: A Facebook post from the place now indicates that Goldilox Bagels plans to open in January.]
