Temazcal Tequila Cantina Opening in Former Papa Razzi Space in Framingham

by Marc Hurwitz

It looks like a local group of Mexican restaurants will replace a location of a group of Italian dining spots--and this isn't the first time that this has happened.

According to an article in the MetroWest Daily News, Temazcal Tequila Cantina is expanding to Framingham, opening in the space on Route 9 where Papa Razzi had been. This more or less repeats what took place in Burlington last year, when Temazcal opened in the former Papa Razzi Metro space on Wall Street (Tony's Coal Fire Pizza also opened within that space as well). If all goes as planned, the new location of Temazcal may be opening over the Labor Day weekend.

Currently, locations of Temazcal can be found in Boston's Seaport District, Burlington, Lynnfield, and Dedham; locations of Papa Razzi can be found in Boston, Concord, and Wellesley.

The address for this Mexican restaurant in Framingham is: Temazcal Tequila Cantina, 155 Worcester Road (Route 9), Framingham, MA, 01701. The website for all locations is at https://temazcalcantina.com/

[September 10 update: Wicked Local states that Temazcal Tequila Cantina is now open in Framingham, though for dinner only over the next couple of weeks before introducing lunch service as well.]
