One of a trio of upscale French bistros has opened back up more than a year after it closed for upgrades.
According to a press release, Aquitaine at The Street Chestnut Hill opens its doors once again this evening with a brand new look that is the result of major renovations that began back in July of 2017. Some of the changes made include the addition of a handmade Parisian pewter bar as well as antique brass lighting, extra booths, a private event space, and more. The flagship location of Aquitaine in the South End had closed for similar reasons in 2016, with the Tremont Street restaurant adding a larger bar and a new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. (A third location of Aquitaine can be found at Legacy Place in Dedham.)
In addition to the three Aquitaine locations, The Aquitaine Group also operates Cinquecento, Gaslight, and Metropolis Cafe in the South End, and a second location of Gaslight in Lynnfield.
The address for Aquitaine in Chestnut Hill is 11 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, MA, 02467. The website for The Aquitaine Group can be found at http://www.aquitainegroup.com/
