A landmark fish market and a longtime pizzeria in the South End that both closed this spring will be replaced by a pasta spot and another pizzeria.
According to an article from Eater Boston, Black Jack Pasta Kitchen and Union Park Pizza are moving into the former Morse Fish Company and Harry O's spaces on Washington Street, respectively, with both businesses possibly debuting as soon as early October. Black Jack Pasta Kitchen is connected to Black Jack Pasta Bar, which closed its Fenway restaurant earlier this year, and the new spot will have more room than the Queensbury Street eatery had. Little is known about Union Park Pizza other than the fact that it will serve flatbreads, so stay tuned for updates on that place.
Morse Fish Company closed in late May after being in business since 1903; Harry O's closed on the same day as Morse after being open for more than 30 years.
The address for the upcoming Black Jack Pasta Kitchen is 1401 Washington Street while the address for Union Park Pizza is 1405 Washington Street.
