Totto Ramen Is Opening at South Bay Town Center in Dorchester

by Marc Hurwitz

A pair of Boston-area ramen shops that are connected to others in New York could be joined by a third location in a new mixed-used development just off the Southeast Expressway.

According to a licensing board hearing page within the City of Boston website, Totto Ramen is looking to open at South Bay Town Center in Dorchester, with the space slated to have a dining room and bar with seating for 40, while a seasonal outdoor patio is being planned as well. If it gets approved, the new location of Totto would join others in Allston and Assembly Row in Somerville, along with Midtown West, Midtown East, and Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan. (Two others can be found in Taiwan.)

South Bay Town Center is an expansion of the old South Bay Shopping Center, with the new development being home to J.P. Licks, a location of Wahlburgers, and a few other dining spots.

The website for Totto Ramen is at http://tottoramen.com/

[November 25 update: According to a source, Totto Ramen is now open at South Bay.]
