An upscale restaurant and bar in downtown Boston is getting ready to close, as the hotel in which it resides is going to be renovated--and it is not known what might become of the spot.
The Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog is reporting (via the Boston Real Estate Times) that BOND Restaurant and Lounge on Franklin Street is shutting down December 1, as part of a planned renovation of the Langham Hotel where the hotel itself will close next April and reopen in 2020 after extensive changes. There is no word on what might happen to BOND right now, though the Boston Real Estate Times article mentions that "New guest rooms and suites, updated event and function spaces, and innovative food and beverage concepts will all be introduced" once the hotel opens back up.
BOND Restaurant and Lounge, which first opened in early 2009, is known in part for its New American fare and cocktails.
the address for BOND (and the Langham Hotel) is 250 Franklin St, Boston, MA 02110. The web page for the restaurant and lounge can be found at http://www.langhamhotels.com/en/the-langham/boston/dining/bond-restaurant/
[November 28 update: A Facebook post from the Langham Hotel states that after December 1, the BOND space will only be open for private events, while a comment in the thread indicates that two dining spots will open within the hotel once renovations are complete in 2020 (it is not known if BOND will be one of them).]
