One of the great restaurant spaces in Boston could be without a restaurant by next year.
According to a source, Navy Yard Bistro in Charlestown is losing its home and is expected to close by late August of 2019, with a message from the dining spot confirming this, saying that the lease is going to be up and they will not be able to renew it. The message indicates that they are currently looking at new spaces for the restaurant, while our source indicates that their current space might end up being used for something other than dining--though this has not been confirmed as of yet.
Navy Yard Bistro first opened nearly 15 years ago in an historic structure in the heart of the navy yard that includes an outdoor patio along a tree-shaded cobblestone walkway out front. The restaurant features mostly New American fare along with a variety of wines.
The address for Navy Yard Bistro is 1 6th Street, Charlestown, MA, 02129. Its website can be found at https://www.navyyardbistro.com/
