Last winter, a local brewery opened a seasonal beer garden in an historic structure that dates back to the early 1900s. Now we have learned that another local brewery will be doing something similar in the same space this fall and winter.
According to a post from Roslindale Village Main Street, Turtle Swamp Brewing is bringing an indoor beer hall called the Turtle Swamp Winter Bierhalle to the Roslindale Substation, and it will include beers on tap, seating, and some pop-up food spots from local businesses. The beer hall is expected to debut on November 30 and will operate until the middle of January, being open Friday through Sunday as well as for holiday events.
Last winter, Trillium set up a beer garden in the substation, while also having an outdoor beer garden on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in downtown Boston during the warmer months.
The Roslindale Substation can be found on Washington Street in Roslindale Village while Turtle Swamp's brewery is on Washington Street in Jamaica Plain.
