A new dining and drinking spot is on its way to the heart of downtown Boston, and the people behind it are also involved with a few other restaurants and bars in the city.
The Tables section of The Boston Globe is reporting that Mercato Kitchen + Bar is planning to open within the upcoming Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall on Devonshire Street, with the post saying that it will "be inspired by the European food halls that owners Teodora Bakardzhieva and Jairo Dominguez love to visit," while the hotel's website indicates that the food will have both European and South American influences. The Globe mentions that such options as souvlaki, Spanish fried anchovies, mezze, and charcuterie will be available, with the hotel saying that global wines, beers, and craft cocktails will be served.
Bakardzhieva and Dominguez are also behind Publico Street Bistro and Backyard Betty's in South Boston along with Casa Cana in Allston-Brighton.
The address for the upcoming Mercato Kitchen + Bar in downtown Boston is 68 Devonshire Street, Boston, MA, 02109. The website for the Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall is at https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/massachusetts/hyatt-centric-faneuil-hall-boston/bosct
