A pizzeria and sub shop that was popular with college students has closed, and it has been replaced by a new spot that hopes to attract the college crowd as well.
The Tufts Daily is reporting that Jumbo Grill & Pizzeria is now open in the former Helen's Roast Beef & Pizzeria space in Medford, with the new Boston Avenue eatery offering Italian-style pizza and some health-conscious items including the Impossible Burger and other vegetarian options. Like its predecessor, Jumbo Grill will cater to the late crowd, being open until 1:00 AM Sunday through Wednesday and until 3:00 AM Thursday through Saturday.
Helen's was known for such items as pizza, calzones, subs, grill options, and pasta dishes.
