It looks like a beloved breakfast spot that has been around for a long time is getting ready to close for good.
According to an article in the Jamaica Plain News, Sorella's on Centre Street in JP is shutting down at the end of the month, confirming what a poster had said on the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page. The article says that one of the two sisters behind the eatery--Ellie Bolys--passed away four years ago, leaving Antoinette Bolys to run both Sorella's and the Dedham Diner and that the former has been for sale for several months now.
Sorella's, which first opened in 1983, has received much praise among critics and patrons alike over the years, with its pancakes, crepes, and French toast being among the most popular items there.
The address for Sorelle's is 386 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA, 02130.
