An iconic market north of Boston that has been offering pub pies and other English-style products for nearly 100 years will soon be hitting the road as well.
According to a source, Thwaites Market in Methuen is going to be debuting a food truck, with a Facebook post from the Railroad Street shop saying that "We are so excited to get this on the road and spread the love through out Massachusetts!!! We thank you guys so much for all the lovin' and we CAN'T WAIT to see you on the road!!!" If all goes as planned, the truck could be operating sometime around the middle of June.
Thwaites Market offers a variety of English pies including pub pies and family-style pies, with a few options being pork, bratwurst, franks and beans, barbecue chicken, steak and kidney, and cheese and onion. Other items found at the market include pigs in a blanket, scotch eggs, savory duck, and meatloaf.
