A long-term pop-up restaurant is opening in an increasingly-hot section of Boston, and a well-known chef and restaurateur is behind the place.
According to a press release, Will Gilson is opening Cafe Beatrice in Lower Allston in the former Rabottini's Pizza space on Tuesday, May 7, with the Western Avenue eatery being an "all-day" cafe that will remain open for the next six months. The dining spot, which includes an outdoor patio along with communal tables inside the space, will offer breakfast options in the morning, grab-and-go sandwiches around lunchtime, and snacks in the afternoon, with breakfast sandwiches, granola and yogurt parfaits, coffee, toasted sandwiches at lunch, salads, and grain and noodle bowls being a few items available. Cafe Beatrice plans to be open Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Gilson is also behind Puritan & Co., a restaurant in Cambridge that offers New American and regional fare, and he has been involved with a series of pop-ups over the past ten years or so.
The address for Cafe Beatrice is 182 Western Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134. Its Facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/cafebeatrice02134/
