A Thai restaurant in Cambridge has closed down, though it looks like another Thai spot is moving into its space.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Pandan Leaf in East Cambridge is no longer in business, with a sign out front saying that 9Zaab is planning to open there, offering Thai street food according to the sign. It is not known when 9Zaab could be opening or what will be on the menu ("Zaab" typically refers to extra spicy Thai food), so stay tuned for updates.
Pandan Leaf first opened in the spring of 2016, taking over the space where Curry Thai Restaurant had been.
The address for the now-closed Pandan Leaf (and the new 9Zaab) is 569 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA, 02141.
[June 4 update: Eater Boston states that 9Zaab is now open in Cambridge and that it is under the same ownership as the old Pandan Leaf. The article says that the focus is more on street food, though it does offer more familiar noodle and curry dishes often found in Thai restaurants.]
