In late 2017, it was learned that a London-based group of high-end Japanese restaurants would be expanding to Boston's Back Bay. Now the dining spot is just about ready to open.
According to an article from Eater Boston, Zuma is slated to open at the Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street on Tuesday, May 28, with the restaurant being an upscale izakaya (basically, a Japanese pub) and grillhouse that offers such items as sushi, salads, robata-style grill items, tempura, oysters, sake, cocktails, desserts, and more. The dining spot--which has no connection to Zuma Tex Mex Restaurant at Faneuil Hall--will reside on the second floor of One Dalton Street, which is a new residential tower across from the Prudential Center.
Eater says that Zuma will initially be open only for dinner Monday through Saturday (with the bar being open at lunch and dinner on weekdays), but that it will add lunch service sometime this summer.
