A relatively new Cambridge restaurant that featured chicken-based dishes has morphed into a dining spot that focuses on Thai food and Japanese ramen.
According to an article from Eater Boston, Chick Chick Boom in Cambridgeport has been replaced by Pai Kin Kao, with the ownership of the River Street eatery remaining the same. The post mentions that the change was made because, as owner Jamme Chantler says, "the most ordered dishes were ramen and Thai dishes....Chicken wings weren't as popular. So now we will concentrate on building our business around what customers want, instead of what we wanted to offer." As stated here in an earlier article, Chantler also runs an Asian restaurant called the Mad Monkfish (formerly Thelonious Monkfish) on Mass. Ave. in Central Square.
Chick Chick Boom first opened in December of 2017, taking over the space where Frozen Yogi had been.
The address for Pai Kin Kao (and the former Chick Chick Boom) is 80 River Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139. The website for the new restaurant can be found at https://paikinkaorestaurant.com/
