A group of pizzerias specializing in gourmet thin-crust pies may be opening another Boston-area location, and this one would reside in a particularly hot part of the city.
According to a Twitter post from @mjvulch, Otto Pizza is looking at a space on W Broadway in South Boston by F Street, with an abutters meeting on the plan being slated for August 21. The notice shows that the space would need to be changed over from commercial retail to restaurant, and that Otto does not plan to serve alcohol at this location. If its plans are ultimately approved, the new location of Otto would join others in Brookline (Coolidge Corner and near BU, the latter of which is on the Boston line), Cambridge's Harvard Square (which is temporarily closed due to a fire), Arlington, Lynnfield, and Newburyport, along with several in Maine, which is where the restaurant started out.
The address for the new location of Otto in South Boston is 416-418 W Broadway, South Boston, MA, 02127. The website for all locations can be found at https://www.ottoportland.com/
[February 28, 2020 update: According to a press release, Otto Pizza has its grand opening in South Boston on Monday, March 2.]
