A new restaurant and bar is on its way to a rapidly-developing downtown area just south of Boston, and it will move into the space where a location of a burger spot had been.
According to City of Quincy consultant and publicist Kerry J. Byrne, Pearl & Lime is planning to open in Quincy Center in the former KKatie's Burger Bar space within the West Of Chestnut development on Hancock Street. We are told that the upcoming spot will be a "cocktail-forward" concept that is run by the team behind The Townshend, a nearby restaurant and bar that is also on Hancock Street, and that more details will be coming soon on the place, so stay tuned for updates.
KKaties' closed in April after being in business for a bit more than two years; its other locations in Marshfield, Plymouth, and Hyannis remain in operation.
The address for the upcoming Pearl & Lime is 1440 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA, 02169.
[September 10 update: Wicked Local states that the menu at Pearl & Lime will have Latin influences including Mexican and Caribbean foods, while drinks such as Daiquiris and Margaritas will likely be offered. If all goes well, the new restaurant could be opening in December.]
[January 23, 2020 update: A new Wicked Local article says that Pearl & Lime now expects to open in March.]
