ReelHouse Oyster Bar Is Planning to Open in the Former Frank Anthony's Marina Cafe Space on the Boston Waterfront

[Ed note: This article was updated to reflect the fact that the place does not appear to be open yet.]

The group behind a couple of upscale seafood restaurants on the water is opening a new spot that is also along the water, and this one is replacing a cafe that debuted last year.

According to a source (Daphna Edgar), ReelHouse Oyster Bar is opening at Fan Pier in Boston's Seaport District, moving into the space under the pavilion where Frank Anthony's Marina Cafe had been. A Twitter post from @FanPierBoston mentions that the place is a pop-up cafe that offers raw bar/seafood items and that while it was apparently supposed to open last week, it looks like it is not open just yet. The menu for ReelHouse Oyster Bar shows such options as oysters, lobster cocktail, smoked trout toast, tuna poke, BLT with lobster, clam chowder, scallop crudo, and more.

The group behind ReelHouse Oyster Bar--Navy Yard Hospitality--also runs ReelHouse in East Boston and Quincy's Marina Bay as well as Mija Cantina at Faneuil Hall and Pier 6 in Charlestown.

It appears that the address for ReelHouse Oyster Bar is 10 Waterside Avenue, Boston, MA, 02210.

[September 5 update: ReelHouse Oyster Bar has not yet opened, though it could be closer to debuting by next week, as a licensing board hearing page within the City of Boston website indicates that its request for a common victualler license is slated to be looked at on Wednesday, September 11.]
