Shake Shack Is Opening in Boston's Downtown Crossing

It looks like a New York-based group of burger and shake spots is expanding to the heart of downtown Boston.

According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, Shake Shack is seeking a common victualler license to operate in a space on Washington Street in Downtown Crossing, with the address indicating that it would be opening in the block where CVS, Bank of America, and McDonald's reside. If it gets the green light to open, the new location would join others in Boston's Seaport District and Back Bay along with outlets in Cambridge's Harvard Square, The Street Chestnut Hill, and Legacy Place in Dedham--and two upcoming spots at the Arsenal Yards in Watertown and the Burlington Mall.

The address listed for the planned location of Shake Shack is 315-333 Washington Street, Boston, MA, 02108. The website for Shake Shack can be found at https://www.shakeshack.com/
