Last month it was reported that a new restaurant and bar was on its way to an upcoming development coming to where the old Boston Garden had been. Now we have learned a bit more about the place.
According to an article from Eater Boston, Banners Kitchen & Tap is opening within The Hub on Causeway in a space that will overlook the Hub Hall food hall. The post says that the 25,000-square-foot dining and drinking spot will offer "upscale tavern cuisine and classic game-day menu offerings" as well as 60 beers on tap, and it will also include three Topgolf Swing Suites (virtual reality golf) and a virtual reality hockey game, while "playing dodgeball with zombies" will be another option. If all goes as planned, Banners Kitchen & Tap could be opening in October.
[October 8 update: A Boston Magazine post mentions that Jackson Cannon (Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster Bar, the Hawthorne) has set up the cocktail menu at Banners Kitchen & Tap.]
[October 15 update: A message sent to us indicates that Banners Kitchen & Tap opens at 4:00 PM today.]
