A Dorchester pizzeria is moving to a new location within the neighborhood, taking over the space where another pizza spot had been.
According to an article in the Dorchester Reporter, Windy City Pizza is in the process of moving from Gallivan Boulevard in Adams Village to Morrissey Boulevard just north of Neponset Circle, taking over the space where Unchained Pizza had been. The move appears to stem at least in part from "a small electrical incident" that took place at the former home of the pizzeria in July, with the owner deciding not to renew the lease there. (Power was fully restored to its former building earlier this month.) The new location of Windy City Pizza appears to be very close to opening pending final inspections, and a third location of the pizzeria could also be coming to Main Street in Weymouth by the end of the year as well, joining the Morrissey Boulevard outlet along with another shop on Newport Street in Quincy.
Unchained Pizza's other location on Adams Street in Quincy remains in operation.
The address for the new location of Windy City Pizza in Dorchester is 960 Morrissey Boulevard, Dorchester, MA, 02122. The website for the business can be found at https://www.windypizza.com/
