An "all-day cafe" pop-up that debuted in May--and which has a well-known chef and restaurateur behind it--is closing, though it will be returning in a new location.
Boston Magazine is reporting (via an Instagram post) that Cafe Beatrice on Western Avenue in Lower Allston shutters at the end of business hours today, though owner Will Gilson says in the Instagram post that it will be reborn at Cambridge Crossing in East Cambridge in 2020. As reported here earlier, Gilson has a full-service restaurant, an all-day cafe, and a cocktail bar in the works at Cambridge Crossing, so the all-day cafe that had been previously mentioned could indeed be Cafe Beatrice.
Will Gilson is also behind Puritan & Co., a restaurant in Cambridge that offers New American and regional fare, and he has been involved with a series of pop-ups in the past.
[October 14 update: Cambridge Day mentions that Cafe Beatrice plans to open at Cambridge Crossing on Saturday, October 17.]
