bfresh in Allston Is Closing

What was once a trio of small grocery stores will soon be down to just one.

According to a tweet from @Emjay1028, bfresh in Allston is closing its doors, with the Harvard Avenue market planning to close on December 28 or when its supplies run out. Once it shuts down, the only remaining location will be in the Davis Square section of Somerville, as a third outlet in Brighton closed in late 2017.

bfresh is a small-store concept that is connected to the Stop & Shop supermarket chain, with both being part of the Netherlands-based Ahold Delhaize food retailer. (The bfresh brand is operated by Fresh Formats LLC, which is based in Canton.)

The address for bfresh in Allston is 214 Harvard Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134. The website for bfresh can be found at http://bfresh.com/

[December 27 update: A phone call placed to the market indicates that he Allston location of bfresh is now closed.]
