Gustazo Cuban Cafe Is Moving to the Former Garcia Brogan's Space in Waltham

It looks like a Cuban restaurant in Waltham is moving to a new location, taking over the space where a Mexican-Irish spot had been.

According to a job post within the Craigslist site, Gustazo Cuban Cafe on Main Street is planning to move to the former Garcia Brogan's space on Moody Street, with the posting saying that it will have two bars and seating for more than 300. (A message from the restaurant confirms that this is indeed a move.) This is actually a second move for the place, as it moved from Belmont to Waltham in 2014, and has since opened another location on Mass. Ave. in Cambridge as well.

Garcia Brogan's, which took over the former Skellig space in 2015, shut down late last year; its Lowell location is also shuttered.

The original address for Gustazo in Waltham is 663 Main Street, while its new address is 240 Moody Street. Its website can be found at https://www.gustazo-cubancafe.com/waltham/

[March 13, 2020 update: A message sent from the place indicates that Gustazo is now open in its new space on Moody Street, though it is only offering dinner service for the time being, with lunch and brunch service on the way at some point.]
