Gelato & Chill Is Opening a Retail Shop in Hingham

A gelato company that is based on the South Shore is returning home in a sense, opening a shop in the town where it has its commercial kitchen--and where it initially got its start.

According to an article in Boston Magazine, Gelato & Chill is planning to open a retail outlet in the former Cold Stone Creamery space at the Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham, joining its other location at Time Out Market in Boston's Fenway. This will technically be the third location to open, as the company once had a kiosk at The Innovation and Design Building in Boston's Seaport District, but that outlet has since closed.

The Hingham location of Gelato & Chill hopes to open in the spring, and while it will continue to use its commercial kitchen in Hingham, some production of its products will also take place at the new shop as well.

The website for Gelato & Chill can be found at https://www.gelatochill.com/
