A new restaurant may be coming to Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, though very little is known about it at this point in time.
According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, Villa Luisa is planning to open on Newbury Street, with the restaurant including seating for 46 in its dining room, another 3 at a bar, and approximately 1,100 square feet of space--and it is applying for a beer, wine, and liqueur license. Based on the address given, it looks like the dining spot would be taking over the space where Dosa Factory had been, and before that, Steve's Greek Cuisine. No other information can be found on the restaurant online, though the notice does say that the manager would be Hebert H. Entwistle III and the parent company is 316 Newbury Restaurant Holder LLC. More should be learned about Villa Luisa later next week, so stay tuned for updates.
The address for the proposed Villa Luisa in the Back Bay would be 316 Newbury Street, Boston, MA, 02115.
[March 4 update: According to a source, Villa Luisa will be a casual restaurant that features Mediterranean fare.]
