Bon Caldo in Norwood Has Closed

An Italian restaurant in the southwest suburbs of Boston has shut down, apparently for good.

A Facebook post from the place confirms what a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page hinted at, that Bon Caldo in Norwood has closed. The note from the Route 1 dining spot says that "With a heavy and humble heart I wanted to reach out to all of you to let you know I will cherish every memory these last 10 years.....I will let you know where I land with the next part of my journey....One door closes and another opens."

Bon Caldo was known in part for its wood-fired grill along with its extensive wine list, with a few food items offered including arancini, bolognese, frutti di mare, gnocchi, grilled salmon, veal piccata, and chicken saltimbocca.

The address for Bon Caldo was 1381 Boston-Providence Turnpike (Route 1), Norwood, MA, 02062.
