A new restaurant featuring Mediterranean fare is on its way to North Cambridge, and it will be opening in the space where a location of a group of Italian eateries had been.
According to a license commission page within the city's website, Mediterranean Grill is seeking a common victualler license to operate in the former Fiorella's Express space on Mass. Ave., with the dining spot having seating for 35 inside and another 8 on a seasonal outdoor patio. Little other information has been given about the restaurant other than the fact that the person behind it appears to be Zahir Isali, and the proposed hours of operation indicate that it would be open for lunch and dinner daily.
The Cambridge outlet of Fiorella's Express closed down in March of 2019 after approximately five years in business; other locations remain open in Belmont, Brighton, and Wellesley, while full-service locations of Fiorella's can be found in Concord and Newton. (The Cambridge space had also been home to a Mediterranean and Italian restaurant called SingaBella Cafe.)
The address for Mediterranean Grill in North Cambridge is 2401 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, 02140.
