The Melting Pot in Framingham Has Closed

Another Boston-area location of a chain of fondue restaurants has shut down, leaving only one outlet remaining in the region.

According to a source, The Melting Pot in Framingham is no longer in business, with the Framingham Source saying that the Route 9 dining spot has indeed closed its doors. A note on the chain's website says that "We regret to announce that The Melting Pot of Framingham has closed for business indefinitely as of Tuesday, February 18, 2020," while the Source article mentions that the restaurant's social media page says the closure was a "business decision based on the economics associated with this franchise location."

The Melting Pot had a location in the Park Square area of Boston, but that location closed in 2015; the sole outlet in the Greater Boston area can be found in Bedford, and that restaurant is still in operation based on the chain's website.

The address for the now-closed Melting Pot in Framingham was 92 Worcester Road (Route 9), Framingham, MA, 01702.
